What is on a subject page

Each page is a study guide for one course or exam. It opens with a short overview of what the course covers, then lists the units in the order they are usually taught. Under every unit you will find the flashcard decks and quizzes that belong to it, so you can go straight to the part you are working on instead of searching for it.

Decks and quizzes made by Knovli, and decks approved by a subject expert, are listed first. Decks shared by other teachers and students follow. Everything on these pages is free to open.

One way to study a subject

  1. Start with the unit list. Reading the names of the units in order tells you how the course fits together and how much there is to cover.
  2. Take one unit at a time. Open its deck and go through every card once, without trying to memorise anything yet.
  3. Come back the next day and test yourself. Recalling an answer is what makes it stick, far more than reading it again. The study modes are built around that.
  4. Play the unit quiz. A quiz shows what you only half know. You can play on your own or against other people.
  5. Mix the units before a test. Going back over earlier units alongside the newest one is harder than repeating a single unit, and it is closer to what the exam will ask of you.

If your subject is not here yet

New subjects and exams are added as their decks and quizzes are ready. In the meantime you can browse every public deck, make a deck of your own from your notes, or read the study guides in Knovli Learn.
